I am a freelance writer who mostly contributes to the Austin American-Statesman, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Texas Observer, and The Village Voice. I am formerly Austin city editor for BlackBook, and was also an editorial staffer at L.A. Weekly. I live with my wife, cat, and dog in Austin, Texas, where I work as culture & arts education specialist for the O. Henry Museum.
